| Come on people, I think we expected too much. It is a comedy and I found very funny. How were the "stereotypical" semi-insulting? I think half of us have a relationship with someone of our family very close to what Roscoe had with his father and brothers. We live with it and accept it. Or if we can not accept it, we tell the person (finally!) And sometimes we feel we learned not to communicate both looked quite different. ( "I did not know you felt that way!) Compared to the things Black people, especially family issues, with humor. Easy, not Oscar material, but very fun. |

If you enjoy a fun Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins movie with a good purpose probably enjoyed. The theater that was laughing hysterically throughout the film, so it was sometimes difficult to hear the track lines. This can be considered a **** SPOILER **** The ending was weird, but I would have liked to have seen the television program "before the credits. It's hilarious, but most people, including myself were beginning to leave the theater and had to leave in the hallway. Other than that good film: Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins worth the cost is $ 20 for it. |
| I read a lot of other comments and just wanted to offer a different perspective. Many of us have relatives who are almost as embarrassing as some of those represented in the film. While I too agree that the "Roscoe Jenkins" is justified in its position to leave their homes to arise above the negativity in the family environment, I also believe that the Welcome Home, Roscoe Jenkins Comedy movie showed his last duty to accept the family as they are. No matter how successful we are in our careers can not be compared to success in our relations. Andalusia final Roscoe and his father realized the importance of having each other and respects the position of the other for the first time. Let's face it. Plays RJ Stevens, a city of great motivational guru who has taken the concept of "self" too far, leaving him a little away from his family in the south. In an elegant frame, his parents' 50th anniversary serves as an exploitable market opportunity sufficiently attractive to attract back to his hometown. From there, things are quite RJ formulaicly to revive his true identity, Roscoe Steven Jenkins. While Lawrence is the principal around which the story, makes you feel a bit like a set of parts. But luckily the cast is competent and credible, even those that perform functions of comic relief. Therefore, as an illustration of the good ol 'hometown values "always be true to yourself," "the importance of the family" and "the power of forgiveness," is a good choice for family viewing night if you can find a way around Mo'Nique the apparent inevitability of the B-word. |
