| This was just very, very bad. Make no mistake, the only reason this was done was that the book was written by L. Ron Hubbard, the leader of Travolta LOONEY LOONEY religion, the Church of Scientology. Travolta was bad, the rest of the cast was bad, the story was almost as bad and cheesy as "The Postman," as foreigners were defeated by the glorious U.S. A (pass the sick bucket). Farmers learn to fly a Harrier jump jet in combat maneuvers, flying all learned how to speak and detonate a nuclear device without any access codes are a particular highlight, I mean that * * realistic. They were also excellent exotic costumes (no). All of them seemed a group of transvestites in excess. |
| There is a line that a DVD movie Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 is so bad that it becomes really good and thought I was going to be one of those films. For years I have heard and read that this Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 movie was so bad it was funny and I was expecting that. Unfortunately, it was not that way. This Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 Sci-Fi movie was really good. Not great by any means, but it really is not that bad. I had expected super cheesy effects, terrible acting, a story that makes no sense, but who do not. In fact, the only really cheesy part of it was the menu on the DVD. I think the reason to hate people love this movie: Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 is its obvious connection to Scientology. I'm not a big fan of Scientology, but people seem to have great pleasure in attack and this DivX Movie Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 is a perfect outlet for that. But, ultimately Starship Troopers was much worse in a way that did well. Does that make sense? I do not think I have ever been so waiting for something that is so bad. |
| When I originally saw this Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 Sci-Fi film was not aware of Dianetic / Scientology background surrounding this Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 Sci-Fi and I saw almost a neutral point of view. The fact that after I saw that I was frankly disgusted and afraid that a DivX film Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 like this could be, first, made me dig a little more background on the movies. After doing some research I concluded that apparently afraid this piece of cr * p is that this Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 Sci-Fi is really taken seriously by the Scientologists, not unlike Christians with regard to the Bible. Yes, ladies and gentlemen, people actually believe this happened - the horrible story, the characters in 2D and mindbendingly ridiculous stupid conclusion is taken as the word of God. So now I am terrified that this "cult" has the clout to convince the finance and Hollywood to waste so much money. I say Hollywood produces some god awful films, but none more publicity, or with such big names starring in them. Therefore, avoid this like the plague, dealers do not give any excuse to make more copies of this garbage and waste not a second of your life watching it. I -10/10 |
| On a warm July afternoon, I took a second theater near term to see this movie. I had read many, many comments on the terrible BFE. I think that the DVD movie Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 cost around 73 million. Lets do the math. Hollywood spent 73 mill, I spent 50 cents. I suffer from a terrible disease. I LOVE bad movies. Heavens Gate, Water World that name, I love it. Wing Commander? to eat. Science Fiction of all time is my DVD movie Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 Jones. A bad science fiction is better than any other known good movie. I had followed the production of this DVD film Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 in various places of the DVD movie Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 and the bad reviews when it left the way they did BFE knew it would be a pleasure. Travolta hit the talk shows this pumping EPIC. Comparisons with Star Wars? Let me leave my fifty cents. The people who were just for me. Bad acting? No problem. Camera angles? No problem. Plot? no plot? Who cares. These films do not come every day. Do I want to sit with the rest of the planet and see all the thumbs up trash? Why? I had to listen to all trash Starship Troopers the same way. It is not every day you come to see the brain sucking spiders. Sit down, turn off your brain and relax. Giants foreign air tubes hanging from their noses, and people flying monkey warplanes? COOL STUFF. This Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 Sci-Fi was perfect with my Raisenettes and buttered popcorn. I will save up to 50 cents for the next sequel or sequels. Look for me, I will be the man with the big smile on the front row. Rock on people. |
| IMDb've been using for over 5 years, and this is the first time I have been so affected by a DVD movie Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 that I felt compelled to comment. Yes, Battlefield Earth really that bad. As a child, I enjoyed reading the novel. Venture, which told a complex and extensive history, was a result of friendly characters. So I always thought that this trashing the Battlefield Earth: A Saga of the Year 3000 Sci-Fi film has received over the years was probably inappropriate - more than a snowball effect that reflects the film. Well, I was wrong. The acting is really horrible (Travolta, in particular, is embarrassingly bad here), the history riddled with holes, the dialogue really ridiculous. The images had some interesting moments, but were too few and to pull this stinker of the crapper. Therefore, all I can think now is that I was very bad when I liked the book a long time ago. We must remember that not read again. Ever. And finally, a question: why the hell did the 'man animals grunt at each other, such as chimpanzees? Some sort of commentary on the evil "reverse evolution"? Oh dear ... |
