Three college slackers, Anderson Lee, Cory Jones and Nelson Elliot, plan a good time away from their college by heading out to Daytona Beach for Spring Break. But along they way, they get detoured into the small, off-the-map, town of Pleasant Valley, Georgia, where they, along with three drifters, Joey, Kat and Ricky, and biker Malcolm and his girlfriend Leah, are welcomed as guests of honor by the cheerful but sinister-looking Mayor Buckman for the annual Pleasant Valley Guts and Glory Festival. Unknown to the eight unsuspecting Northerners, Mayor Buckman and the residents have more in store where they plan to use the festival as a blood ritual by separating the guests and killing them off one-by-one in ultra-gory fashion.

A group of sex-crazed northern typically uncomfortable taking a wrong turn on their way to Daytona Beach and close (with a detour sign) at Pleasant Valley, where he greeted warmly, and not (although some claim) to the south of the city popular. Then, they begin to slaughter by these people as revenge for having perished during the Civil War. Robert Englund is indeed a scream as the head of this clan, as the southern butcher and maim these guys (dies of an acid, another was shot outside horses). If one wonders how seriously to take this film: 2001 Maniacs to all who've taken a look at the top of the box that has a crazy Englund put a patch on the eye confederal themes. The 2001 Maniacs movie is one long comedy category as well are disabled in excessive violence or giggle at the silliness of it. Is certainly geared for those who are willing to let go and not just see that nothing really serious. Everything has been written .. "This is just a movie." A 2001 Maniacs movie like this have been incorporated into a fan base to deliver on the gore and humor hokey (specifically Hick all joke known to man, except the fart gags). If you are easily offended or can not bend a little in the implausibility of all .. stay away.

Oh, my God. What a stinker. Sure, they are supposed to be "over the top," but this effort was unfortunate to lose the brand worldwide. Terrible acting, lame and a ridiculous argument "on hold". I think my children may do better with video recorder (except for probably at least had some interesting sexual intrigue). Predictable, unfunny, irredeemable (well, except for a hint of a few decent tits). Anyone who thinks this is art-house, you need therapy. Even the special effects are so special as the first Harry Hausen short. 2001 Maniacs? Yeah, that's probably the number of people around the world thought that this was OK.
