| I rented this Seraphim Falls film without ever before the hearing, and was pleasantly surprised ... something that is increasingly rare in my experience of renting movies. This gritty, atypical Western appealed to me in a number of different levels. The unusual casting of Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan intrigues me, their presence is a Seraphim Falls Drama film without being a distraction for improving the film. The story is complex and minimalist at the same time, sometimes a combination of ultra-real and surreal elements. The picture is simple and beautiful, and a welcome relief from the Jiggly camera technique, color and other "contemporary" all the tricks of today often because the technique and style to become a distraction to the story that he says. Thank God there are still leaders who believe that movies were filmed in this way! While the story grabs your attention from the beginning and moves quickly, takes his time in revealing the characters are and what their motivations and demons who are trying. If you watch this with a preconceived notion of what must be a Westerner, the John Ford, Howard Hawks, etc. may be disappointed, as some reviewers, evidently, have been here. | Liam Neeson as Carver is hunting Gideon (Pierce Brosnan) through the desert west of the old, in this minimalist Western takes place shortly after the Civil War. Very well acted by all involved, and found myself enjoying much. At 2 hours, the DVD movie Seraphim Falls just feels and looks like a clock fast, never took place welcome (despite approaching the end it all because of the cameos by Angela Huston and Wes Studi, the two sides were bound and not with the Seraphim Falls movie mocks somehow) Besides, if you're a fan of the Western genre, will find much to enjoy this. Is probably the best we have had in a decade or so good. Saying Writer / Director Ancken successfully step here would not be the right word (I have yet to see his short "bullet in the brain," but hear is great), but this is the DVD movie Seraphim Falls that really made me take note of his talent and determination This has to wait until the next manga. | Viewed in this excellent West on Sunday morning, without knowing more about the Seraphim Falls Drama movie was a Western - a man being hunted by another and that there is a bitterness of the past between them. I have always loved a good western movie, the stories tend to be simple, and it is this. Which however does not keep it from being a brilliant film, beautifully shot and with the right cast. Since I did not know who was starring, it took me all the way to the end before I realized that the main role was played by none other Pierce Brosnan, who once again proves to be a top of the line actor can play a wide variety of roles - from James Bond to the present. | This is an excellent West - with two large stars that are sand and go beyond their normal work. The photography is breathtaking and the story is designed to make you think - do not fall into the formulas of the plot. The first 30 minutes will make your hair stand and the rest will be kept going - definitely a must see. Pay attention to cameos at the end. Have moved around the heads of some reviewers, but really bring a sense of the classic reference to the story. The war has been a social problem since ancient Greece, and perhaps we have not learned the lessons to be learned. Congratulations to the director, bringing together history, talent and visual art in an epic piece. |
| SERAPHIM FALLS is a strange film, which on the surface appears to be a tribute to the old western, but it's a psychological battle for survival between two men locked in revenge. There is very little history regarding: Carver (Liam Neeson), with a small posse for hunters (Michael Wincott, Ed Lauter, Robert Baker and John Robinson) walks Gideon (Pierce Brosnan) through the snow, forest , mountains, water, rough, and heard a desert Civil seeds of hatred. | I enjoyed this movie. Hunting is a film: Seraphim Falls in the genre of Jeremiah Johnson, or the type of search engines.
