When Sarah Cain, a self-involved big-city newspaper columnist, travels to Pennsylvania for the funeral of her Amish sister, she soon discovers that she is the legal guardian of her five Amish nieces and nephews. Rather than choose to move to Lancaster County to finish raising them there herself, or let them be separated by the foster care system, Sarah decides to take them with her back to Portland where she believes she can make a new life for them. However, she soon realizes that the modern world has forced them to compromise who they are, and that she has moved them there for all the wrong reasons - a motive which is soon exposed - because secrets can really never be kept secret. In order to find her own redemption, she knows she must make a choice to give them back their lives in Amish Country. And whether she remains part of their lives will have a lot to do with how much she has grown to love them.

Michael Landon Jr. is another one of his SAPPY, unlikely and totally predictable movie. The acting by the entire cast (except Elliott Gould), is made of wood and not at all convincing. More sentimental and full of cliches from. It is supposed to be a "feel good" movie, but it becomes a "feeling nausea" movie. The script is not written with any feeling of living in the real world. The manner of speaking, their situations are entirely composed of the director's vision Landon is what they are like real people. She apparently has no idea of what people in the real world. Diabetics beware! This mixture of sugar coating can be fatal!

"Saving Sarah Cain" is a respectful look at the Amish community in Pennsylvania. Like the DVD movie Saving Sarah Cain "Witness", implying that his characters are rational people with understandable reasons for the decisions they make, rather than members of a totally alien world. There is a minor problem with the location given the history. Although the movie: Saving Sarah Cain was filmed partly in Lancaster County, Pa., a comment that was made of Pittsburgh (not Philadelphia) is the nearest big city. " This only makes sense if the characters are members of the New Wilmington, PA Amish community, or nearby towns. The Amish in Western Pennsylvania is an interesting group and prosperous, and the authenticity here have been added to the flavor of the film.

This is one not to miss. Wording is brilliant, the perfect tone and direction of serving the Michael Landon Jr. reminds me why I loved the films of his father. Cultural barriers are so well presented, but handled with loving care that makes you appreciate, or should appreciate the differences of all of us. I lived in Amish country for 17 years and came to love the simple, honest life of these people. And while there are differences, we all have the same hopes and desires, love and compassion as human beings, no matter what our appearance like. My hat is off to everyone for the production of this movement. No spoilers here, watch the film. You will not be disappointed.

I have been a bonus of more than a dozen films and this is the one I am very proud to have participated in. While it is somewhat predictable, that does not diminish its emotional impact and touching story. Lisa Pepper is a subtle and effective. This is the first Michael Landon, Jr., a DVD movie Saving Sarah Cain I've seen better and is a director of his father. Elliot Gould gives a new spin on what could have been a topic - the hard-bitten news editor. The gentle humor that makes the role more than it would have been less in the hands. Children are able to be nice, avoiding the induction of diabetes sweetness. If you're looking for a family movie: Saving Sarah Cain with unusual depth and feeling - this is one of the best. We also recommend the DVD for his interesting and insightful features.

I loved it so much that I've seen the DVD film Saving Sarah Cain three times. It showed people in a desperate situation, the difficult situations, either from within themselves or circumstances beyond their control, and how all these things are ultimately overcome. How not to love? It began with despair, pain and betrayal, but later changed everything in the hope, comfort, understanding and love. Most importantly, he had a point. If any loss, maybe later, somewhere in his own way, will be what it was. I would have given the Saving Sarah Cain film a 10 until I saw the deleted scenes on the DVD and thought of leaving the best parts of history in the cutting room floor. It may have been deleted because the subject of family, love, and God might have been considered too strong, or face, or forcing someone else on the beliefs of the audience. His absence may have caused some regard it as "SAPPY," or, again, maybe not. Each of us see things from our own perspective. What I consider my loss - deleted scenes, some other loss (in my opinion) - which actually was.
