Meet Roy and Frank, a couple of professional small-time con artists. What Roy, a veteran of the grift, and Frank, his ambitious protege, are swindling these days are 'water filtration systems,' bargain-basement water filters bought by unsuspecting people who pay ten times their value in order to win bogus prizes like cars, jewelry and overseas vacations—which they never collect. These scams net the flim-flam men a few hundred here, another thousand there, which eventually adds up to a lucrative partnership. Roy's private life, however, is not so successful. An obsessive-compulsive agoraphobe with no personal relationships to call his own, Roy is barely hanging on to his wits, and when his idiosyncrasies begin to threaten his criminal productivity he's forced to seek the help of a psychoanalyst just to keep him in working order. While Roy is looking for a quick fix, his therapy begets more than he bargained for: the revelation that he has a teenage daughter—a child whose existence he suspected but never dared confirm. What's more troubling, 14-year-old Angela wants to meet the father she never knew. At first, Angela's appearance disrupts her neurotic father's carefully ordered routine. Soon, however, with his own unique spin on parenthood, Roy begins to enjoy a relationship he never dreamed of having with his daughter. But while he develops paternal feelings for the 14-year-old, she's developing a fascination with Daddy's questionable career.

Scott chose a different path in Matchstick Men film production and opting for something a little simpler, lighter and cooler. Its simple, in fact, a well done Matchstick Men movie with some pleasant surprises. In my opinion, this becomes one of the most enjoyable (and smart) with Matchstick Men Thriller movie artist. Have a good script and Scott gives a good balance between comedy and tense moments and, of course, moments in a way that takes the surprise element without making a mockery of the DVD film Matchstick Men is simply excellent. Roy Cage is brilliant as Roy, the artist tries to be a better parent after discovering his teenage daughter. Like most men with a common, Roy also suffers from a condition, an obsessive compulsive disorder. Roy Cage portrays in a very credible people. Rockwell is equally good as Frank. Frank is a departure from the 'unusual' characters more familiar. Lohman as Angela is excellent. She almost steals the show and the sudden transformation of character is done with grace. She is one of the best young actresses. Altman and Kelly McGill is adequate and pleasant. Visuals are good. So you are editing. After a long time, Scott reminds us that we can still run a very good film: Matchstick Men without having to spend a lot of money. "Phosphorus Man 'is a fun movie.

Another DVD film Matchstick Men with Nicolas Cage plays a weirdo (after "Leaving Las Vegas", "Adaptation ",...). Cage is really big in this type of paper, but I love all your movies. The story is good, and Sam Rockwell but the reality is that Alison Lohman steeling the show. Although she plays a girl of 14 years, was in fact about ten years. While parts of the history and contributions are insanely hard to believe (the fact that Roy did not call his ex-wife Angela all the time with him, especially when she comes home and has been), phosphorus is a man very elegant and entertaining story with a unique form of man. Nicolas Cage gives a good performance but I felt I was a little exaggerated from time to time. And, of course, all my hatred for Bruce McGill never help. The real protagonists of the film: Matchstick Men by Sam Rockwell and Alison Lohman. As always, Rockwell gives a flawless performance that was completely overlooked. His charismatic hilarity is the perfect setting for the Matchstick Men Thriller and the character that embodies so beautifully. His laugh is absolutely infectious. Lohman gives an impressive performance with tons of emotional range. It is a wonder that 22 years when she was auditioned for the film, which portrays perfectly a girl 14 years. Amazing. The big twist was quite impressive and I really enjoyed the second time. It consists of almost all the contrivances in the beginning.

This was a little different: a DVD film Matchstick Men that stays fairly low key with some humor and a good father-daughter story and then - wham - the last half hour becomes violent and very serious. Frankly, I did not care especially in the last minutes. I am not opposed to forgiveness, is what we all have to do, but I am a defender of justice .... is not the case here with the role of Allison Lohman as "Angela." All the characters are very interesting and the story is participation. Is that at the beginning of the hooks, and keeps asking her what will happen. There is a good soundtrack for this film, too, and the camera work is first class. The bad news is that once again we see a film: Matchstick Men in which to make good thieves and the lead good guy "Roy Waller (Nicolas Cage) smokes throughout the movie. When you are ready to see the end, this means half comedy action switches to a tragic and cruel image before the final. Luckily, the last scene is the best ... And it's like when you bin your recipe. The structure of the story evokes what the actor does for a living and was surprised that so well. I can not think of a DivX film Matchstick Men like "men of phosphorus. The last ten minutes of the Matchstick Men movie everything was blurry because it assured that the protagonist has to recognize a hard and bitter truth. Two minutes later he is happy as it has ever been before.
