| I am 13, so naturally hated westerns like many people my age. Although I hated West, when I saw "Tombstone" I really liked the movie. I would say that I have seen 2 years ago tombstone. Shortly after noting that tons of times Naggar my dad to have a plaque on our motorcycles. In the summer of 2007 rode motorcycles tombstone to Arizona. Only took 3 days to arrive from Virginia. I was a completely different person. While we were in Tombstone historian talking about the tombstone. I was so happy that it was like I was in heaven. There is no better place than the tombstone. Also on the film. I would say that Doc (Val) had the greatest effect on me. Seriously, think about it. How many friends do you have to be an extremely deadly struggle to fight you. | I became a boring night, flipping through the channels when they finally gave in and settled with HBO, which had an upcoming DivX film Tombstone called plaque in minutes. Never been in western movies - until I saw this. Having seen tombstone across the road and waiting to be unable to tolerate, I found that was totally the opposite. It was noted that in the film. The casting, the writing was phenomenal. This is not a cheap knock-off of the classics or a bad shot Wanna-be. No, this is the real thing. As far as casting goes, Val Kilmer did an excellent job in the role of Doc Holliday. He was very convincing, especially when Doc was very ill. Kurt Russell has never been a favorite actor of mine, even my heart for him, until I saw him as Wyatt Earp. His performance was similar to that Val Kilmer was powerful and well delivered. Even if you hate the West, even if you hate some of the actors ... this film: Tombstone is a must-see. You will be a fan, even if you do not want. |
| I've seen both Wyatt Earp and Tombstone, released within a year apart. For what they offer and do not live contrast. While both films are enjoyable, the first is much more talented cast. Val Kilmer was one of the best picture I've seen Doc. Is complex, the nature and cruel, reckless and cautious, serious and humorous. His murder of Johnny Ringo in the forest is one of the best fighting in the movies. It is very close and very personal way that the viewer can almost smell the gunpowder and blood. I am sure the director and the writers take great liberty with history, but the DVD movie Tombstone is a classic western, as well as a suspense thriller. This DivX film Tombstone tries to be a character study of Wyatt Earp. Here he is no hero but a straight man of dubious moral conviction. Except for Costner, the cast, in my opinion, is at best average. I am especially disappointed Quaids "Doc performance. Clanton all the bands seem interchangeable without individuality. The essential thing is to enjoy these films, but is by far the best. |
| I knew George P. Cosmatos is a great director, but this surprised me completely. It is sad that he has not done anything since the conspiracy of shadows. Tombstone is a perfect Tombstone film in every part, history, action, idea. The actor are in full form, including Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Powers Boothe and my favorite actor Michael Biehn. It is a story about the struggle between good and evil. You could say that there are two pairs in this movie. Kurt Russell (Wyatt Earp) vs Powers Boothe (Curly Bill) and Val Kilmer ( "Doc" Holliday) vs Michael Biehn (Johnny Ringo. Especially scenes between Holliday and Ringo are great. Best Western DVD movie Tombstone available, sure. |
