Roper, a hostage negotiator catches a murderous bank robber after a blown heist. The bank robber escapes and immediately goes after the man who put him behind bars. The ending is played out with Roper and his partner McCall attempting to rescue Roper's kidnapped girlfriend. A major element in the plot is the relationship between Roper and his girlfriend.

I was very surprised when I saw this movie. The action was very good, Eddie was fun and good. This is the kind of Metro Action film that a father and son to see and enjoy both. This is a true guilty pleasure. Although the Metro movie does Eddie seemed the only person able to speak to someone to commit a crime. But that's what made it fun and ridiculous! The Metro movie is not taken seriously like that. See, but do not expect The Godfather just wait a ridiculous action film. 8

If you rent this DVD film Metro thinking it is another Eddie Murphy, comedy action, you better think again! This Metro film is strictly an action movie. Of course, this is not a complaint, just a statement. Murphy is the hero even more enjoyable. He is not playing Axel Foley in the BEVERLY HILLS COP films, but that looks a lot like him. It also steals some of the elements of previous films. In my opinion, this is a type of film. Women are probally be bored by the lack of action and that the only woman in the DVD film Metro is Eddie Murphy's girlfriend, but fans of the action LOVE this movie!

Metro, starring Eddie Murphy, may be worth your time. Yes, I have a lot of negative comments from people wanting to see another "Nutty Professor" or thinking "Metro" as Murphy trying to play again Axel Foley. Others had problems with the script, plot, the pace of the film, but nobody cared to mention how good Murphy is in fact in this. His character is a hostage negotiator in San Francisco, named Scott Roper, one day finds his worst enemy in a jewel thief (played wonderfully by Michael Wincott), which makes his job a nightmare. Since then a cat and mouse between Murphy Wincott develops and persecution, and is played on a rather amusing. I do not want to give a lecture on the subject here, because films such as "Metro" are just to entertain the audience. "Metro" is a solid action movie, with suspense, some great stunts, and very good performances throughout the cast. Murphy, in what I believe is one of his best roles, gives us his comical, but this is more of a serious dramatic role for him. Murphy, I have not seen it, but Scott Roper, throughout the film. A sure sign that an agent is doing its job very well! - Murphy is excellent.
