Now, the cagey, bibliophile Cady has been released, and he intends to teach Sam Bowden and his family a thing or two about loss.

For me, it's amazing that there is actually a place called North Carolina Cape Fear, but provides the perfect setting for this film. Several years after the attorney Sam Bowden (Nick Nolte) defended convicted rapist Max Cady (Robert DeNiro), Cady comes out of jail and decides that Bowden did a good job defending him. Sam and Max after each meet a couple of times, Max starts to get mad and crazy. After attempting to enter the house of Sam, Sam and his family live in hiding in Cape Fear. Then the terror really begins. Martin Scorsese presented unique intensity to films like "Mean Street" and "Taxi Driver", but this is something completely different. Considering his previous movies was limited to allow them to identify with the characters, "Cape Fear" makes both identify with the characters and find unpleasant. Not only Max Cady, but also the Bowdens. They are never the ideal family, "Cady threats but they do get progressively nastier in their attitudes toward themselves and others. I think it's safe to say that after seeing "Cape Fear," which never look anyone in the same way again.
Sam and his family live a very happy life. Sam works as a lawyer and has a good size house and a happy family. Then one day an old friend who was the defense comes out of jail and comes back for revenge. Max Cady begins to stalk Sam and his family. Robert DeNiro in the role as a super smooth stalker. It is excellent to see action in this area. All the time I was watching this DVD movie Cape Fear I was thinking of "The Simpsons" episode that making the film. I was comparing Max Cady Side Show Bob and see the scenes that were the same. The difference is that "The Simpsons" episode is fun and this Cape Fear film is just super scared. I would see on a sunny afternoon, as I did. Just gave me chills.
Remake of a classic psychological thriller. Scorsese film. The performance of De Niro. Nolte Plus, Lange, Lewis ... Yes, there were many reasons to see this movie. Unfortunately for me, I saw that only about 10 years (16-17 years). And I could not sleep for a month! But even then, before it became a film-maniac I am today, I characterized the Cape Fear film as a "masterpiece." And I never changed my mind since then. The powerful, dark, "Scorsese hypnotistic address early days can only be matched by hypnotizing De Niro, absolutely terrifying performance and the latter is also surrounded by actors who are not only overshadowed by him, but to deliver their Performances equality. Agony, terror in its most beautiful, a twisted understanding of psychopathic behavior and a plot in its simplicity ingenious construction of this film, which can not be seen as a mere "remake", but at least a "re-construction" of an old DivX film Cape Fear success. While Max is behind his ex-lawyer and former attorney for the family, our rapidly changing emotions of curiosity, uncertainty and disbelief of pure fear and absolute terror and, finally, we are sure some of the Max has remained poor, because they could possibly be wrong extinct ... In short, one of the best movies of all time and a very intense experience live ...
You've read a lot in my comments, I am a big fan of MS and the DR, but frankly, I've seen "Cape Fear" because I bought "The Simpsons" 5th season on DVD, and I had no idea that Sideshow Bob episode in which Bart tries to kill in this Cape Fear film was based. Therefore, I knew I had to rent this DVD film Cape Fear if it is good enough for the parody of "The Simpsons." And it is very worrying. Robert DeNiro is one of my favorite players, and I completely freaked out in this film. Especially the scene between himself and Juliette Lewis. Although in some ways this DVD movie Cape Fear is a little above, add all together very well. I was very impressed with this Cape Fear Crime film and recommend it to fans of Martin Scorsesse course. Although I would not say that this was his best work, is one of his best thriller well. 9 / 10
This remake of Scorsese is no less so incredibly stupid, it's a wonder it was actually done (and with a fine cast too). First, it succeeded admirably in showing that Bernard Hermann sixty "results chain can not be successfully adapted to a completely modern Cape Fear movie without sound discordant. While you set the tone of the original film, greatly, and it sounds ridiculous very dramatic in this attempt (mainly because the methods of operation and management have changed markedly in recent years and, therefore, a score too.) Robert De Niro's accent bothered me throughout the DVD movie Cape Fear - which sounds ridiculous and over the top. In fact, throughout history, brought to the screen by one of the greatest geniuses of cinema, is a clumsy Slasher film: Cape Fear shot entirely less bloody and more subtle than the original. The only good scene in the DVD film Cape Fear (and takes too long) is the ad-lib between De Niro and Juliette Lewis in the auditorium of the school. The rest of it, including "Friday The 13th", as in the final confrontation is simply ridiculous. The characters are so ugly (and mind you, I do not hate ugly ugliness reveals its character as something of interest) and full of hatred and anger become almost unilateral stereotypes. There are hardly any depth to them and whatever the symbolism behind the fight between De Niro and Nolte seems lost is the cliché of events. I have never hated a Scorsese movie, but I do not like some (Gangs of New York comes to mind), but I have a doubt, the least desired.
