| OK, I make a lot of comments about Kinski films, but each has their favorite artists. This film: Red Letters is just fun from start to finish. And it does stay on the edge of their seats. There seems to be a wasted moment in this film, each scene is there for a reason. Only a good film-making and good acting all around. I think the title would make more sense if the professor's book has been described in greater detail. |
| Caught in this DVD. Viewed mainly because I like most members of the cast - Coyote, and the delicious Kinski Faruzia Balk, and Jeremy Piven (from THE LARRY SANDERS SHOW). Of coverage that was supposed to be one of those erotic thriller night cable (and delicious naked figure in the opening scene that seems to confirm), but turned out to be much more. An interesting, winding story, well directed and well shot, with all on board the good performance of all participants. Even Pauly Shore (I experienced a shiver of fear when it was introduced at the end of the movie) was good. Coyote dilemma of steadily increasing during the DVD film Red Letters in a convincing manner, so I was disappointed when the third act does not pay things seemed credible, or until the rest of the image. However, it is worth giving a look. A real pleasant surprise. |
| It was a surprise. Peter Coyote is one of the few actors who can imagine that in fact convinced that he is an expert in Hawthorne. Unlike many of these films, the setting of the university was convincing. Nastassja Kinski Smolders quietly and efficiently, as the girl who may or may not be a murderer, Fairuza Balk is attractive and fun as the dean of the daughter who falls for Coyote, it is not a pleasure to see Jeremy Piven doing " Jeremy Piven? Any Red Letters film that makes you want to read Hawthorne worth seeing. For perhaps only English, but thoroughly enjoyable to the end. |
| Normally I am not fond of the HBO movies, but this was a little more than a well-written than the rest of them. He was so-so, but what to expect? (Beggers can not be choosers, right?) Sometimes unintentionally hilarious (the fact the Peter Coyote liked to use four letter words a lot of fun after you have derivatives), but halfway into the picture of the tawdryness dimmed and actually became a crime interesting mystery. Not worth renting, but if HBO is once again you may want to review. |
| It's easy to criticize this DVD movie Red Letters and others have pointed out their shortcomings. The Red Letters Drama is available on DVD and in the director's commentary which showed that the DivX Movie Red Letters was shot in 21 days with a minimum budget. Or as the commentary says: This comment is more about making a DivX Movie Red Letters under a considerable time and budget constraints. The performances of the actors are first rate. The script is full of many logical flaws and oversights that are exacerbated by the end of the film. Meaning that one can work backward and see the big holes in the script, because the end seems to sabotage the whole issue of the film. It is still more than watchable because of what is on screen. Nastassja and Nastassja is almost always gratifying to see her on screen, if you have enough material to work its magic. There is an underlying tension throughout the DVD film Red Letters in which one wonders whether Lydia Davis, the character Nastassja Kinski, is the handling of academic and character overmatched Peter Coyote. You'll have to see the DVD film Red Letters and see for yourself. |
| I was hoping to turn it off at any time, however, the characters are unpredictable and writing keeps this little movement throughout the film: Red Letters in a good clip. Before I knew I was hooked. Of course, the argument is a bit clunky near the end, but everyone involved with this picture seems to have fun. There is even a tribute to Demme's Something Wild, this Red Letters film begins to look like near the end. In general, three stars, and will surely be a success of the few video shops to collect it. |
