| Despite great performance, I liked this DVD film Crimson Tide because it is very cartoonish and predictable. We have seen before and we see it all coming: a prudent Washington opposed the trigger-happy Hackman. The characters mouth too dramatic topics. Military and technical precision is discarded in favor of ridiculous plot devices. Torpedoes and lots of water spray offer visual excitement. Lots of purple lighting mood. At least not as bad bad as any of the mad-with-nuclear-bomb-threat-to-beat-of-the-city films. I just wish it had more substance in this action film. |
| I love this DVD film Crimson Tide for its intensity, especially the relationship of the characters portrayed by Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington.They are confronted by two men in the worst case, the possibility of all war.It could mean an incomplete transmission.It mean war, it could mean anything all.What doing? You might hit your enemy before he strikes you, but the strike was out of place? Is not that creates the intensity.Hackman know and Washington are excellent players who will say they are two Oscar winners, and they play off each one very well in this movie. This fact alone makes it a must see, but the content of the Crimson Tide Thriller movie is equally impressive. |
| Shortly tense action thriller on par with "The Hunt for Red October" is a nuclear submarine commander (Gene Hackman) and his new second in command (Denzel Washington) in a chess game of words and wits wing "Mutiny on the Bounty. " Russia may be rebels to launch nuclear missiles at any time. Commands through Hackman to detonate weapons of his ship, but then after that another message that is incomplete divides the entire crew. Hackman believes it is time to take control of the aggression, while Washington believes that this is too important, not knowing everything there is to know. A wide range of characters in the submarine (which includes Viggo Mortensen, Steve Zahn, James Gandolfini, Rick Schroeder, George Dzundza) must decide which of all the artists in the world who are going to side with. The script is really mediocre, but Hackman and Washington know how to overcome and that the director Tony Scott keeps the pulse of his public-highest in the unit. Definitely an acceptable piece of genre. 4 of 5 stars. |
| As someone who once tried to join the USN as a BUPERS (Office of Personnel) officer, and who grew up with the sub service officers, which provides the Crimson Tide Thriller movie with impatience. When in fact I saw him, I was dumbfounded. This is typical of Hollywood in the sense that nothing is yet thoroughly plausible. Hackman is correct in its actions and attitudes - in the real world, there is BACK UP RADIO, and more checks and balances - Hackman has turned up the back, got the confirmation, and then did his duty. Denzel is, of course, "like Mr. Hero God" to a generation of garbage is fed Hollywood movies - of course he had to be the hero and moral action - baloney! In the Navy, who was hanged for mutiny! NO depose their captain unless the captain is homicidal or suicidal! Throwing around weapons aboard a sealed environment is also headed by writing WRONG - No, just is not done, for obvious reasons, such as destroying the hull, releasing hydraulic units that could sink the ship to crush depths, and so on. | Crimson Tide is impressive in the way that creates the intensity and not let adrenaline is using action-packed scenes, and scenes that are not. The Russian torpedo attack sub was so fast and full of energy that makes you bounce in their seats. Gene Hackman and Denzel Washington gave impressive performances, and their growing tension is enough for others to keep the emotion in a high and consistent over the last half of the film. I do not see how the character Hackman is considered by most Crimson Tide film like crazy. He is simply an experienced and tough-as-nails military must assume that the U.S. is in danger and we must abide by the orders that require him to go to drastic measures to protect us. The director did a good job in increasing the tension, but the end was very predictable. The message at the beginning of the DivX Movie Crimson Tide set the tone perfectly. The entire Crimson Tide Thriller movie is a form of fear as we wonder if it would happen in a situation like this, and how the military could establish appropriate operating procedures for this. However, the message at the end of the Crimson Tide Thriller film provides some hope again. 9 / 10, and I love the creative title. |
