| I think Mamet may have gone a little too far Heist. He is a great writer and a director, but I think it was too excessive twists and turns. The Heist movie has a cast of characters trying to go a step above the other. There are two steps every five minutes! It gets a bit worn, but Mamet is so smart, with its dialogue that makes the trip worthwhile. There is an old Warren Beatty Heist film called "Dollars" that you should visit your site. |
| Some people are forced to read a book until the end, boring or not, and are often the same with movies. Not me. Viewed during this 45 minutes (about 30 minutes longer than necessary) before it is preserved. Hackman is barely passable. Why try to act 30 years younger than his age, always trying to stay hip glibly beyond its expiration? I was thinking: it is much more than 60-65 - he actually give a **** or in real life? Negative. Everyone in this Heist Crime is cynical, bitter, constantly scheming and scamming. In truth, they were all losers who do not want in my circle. A movie: Heist wholly unnecessary waste of time and talent. (My terminology is decidedly old-fashioned, but so am I.) |
| The cast alone indicates that this is a great DVD movie Heist ... and it was. The surprise, however, ended shortly before the Heist movie did. Performances were all great - but the writing talents were not well suited for players of this caliber. The most talented writer on a par with ... and fortune ... cookies. This does not mean that everything is bad. What happens is that the end is something else. The set of "fool-ya" is a bit old, but still acceptable. The "deceived and misled-and-ya-type trick endings are as creative as a dream-sequence final. To defend the film, it's better the second time, as you are no longer worried about the end and just enjoy performance. |
| First, this DivX film Heist is great, but if you take it for what it is. This is a clever Heist Crime with a bit of action, not an action Heist movie with some hints of a plot. The action is limited, but that is irrelevant. This DVD movie Heist is about a robbery, as follows, and the cast are in a class of their own, are the classic actors we see less and less, but even today its own easily against the new players arriving at the scene and if nothing is better than half of them. I am a big fan Gene Hackman. Delroy Lindo plays his role great. Basically, I can not say anything about the DVD movie Heist without ruining, but only as a test for the curious to think when they see the movie, the line that gives away the last touch, when Gene Hackman says, "I do not even tie my shoelaces of shoe without a plan.
