I saw two top-250 films back to back and was disappointed by both. Blade Runner is slightly better than the third man, who I saw last night and almost fell asleep. In fact, I almost fell asleep watching BR too. The movie: Blade Runner takes place in 2019, with an ultra-futuristic and depressing setting. The dark vision of the future is simply a product of its time - 1982 saw double-digit unemployment rates, more than 14 percent mortgage rates and high oil prices. For a science fiction film, certainly moves slowly - but the pace and rhythm is constant. Added a bunch of things that just do not fit in - as some have mentioned, in the dream unicorn Drecker mustache and the man who appears at the end. Drecker woman who falls for a distraction, too. Character development is rather poor. I had trouble rooting for any character in this movie. After watching a bad DVD film Blade Runner last night, I wanted as Blade Runner. Unfortunately, behind all that science fiction and action of distraction, is a thin plot predictable. Holes in the plot and ambiguous script does not do justice, either. But I think the real defect that resembled BR Replicants actual humans. Therefore, it was difficult to see how it is created artificially. Rating: 6.5 10
