| just saw this DivX Movie Freedomland and I really was surprised at all the negative comments, I thought it was great and Jullian Moore should have been considered for a prize! the point they were trying to get through it was perfect and we have seen films like this, but this thinking has been done very well! Jullian has done a great job of showing disbelief and frantic state of mind that you probably would if you were in that situation, the relationship between her and Samuel was made a perfect DivX film Freedomland seems real! I thought it was fantastic and the cast was very well together! I love Ron Elder has done a great job. A MUST SEE !!!!!! |
| Wow. I just wasted 2 hours of my life that I will never recover. Julianne Moore, is still incredible. Sammy J. is his character, whatever that is in the film, but the Freedomland movie STANKO. What about the love / hate relationship with his brother, police Feisty? There was a plot to have disappeared .... And yes, really - what happened to the car? When J. Moore 's character kisses Jackson, that means something? anyone? It seemed like a hasty attempt to include a touch of "romance" but not .... miserably. Well, unfortunately I was disappointed in this film. Forgot was a much better job in general, with supplementary weft (lost child does or does not exist) and equal act Julianne Moore. She is amazing. Unfortunately, this DVD movie Freedomland does its justice. |
| This Freedomland film was a real disappointment to me. All the elements needed to be a good image here. Good story, good actors. Unfortunately, the picture was not well established. First the blame should go to the director who was not able to limit to the story lines he would be able to say effectively. Next to blame is also the director, who edited the Freedomland Drama movie with superfluous characters and plot lines dead. Several acts were very good performances in this hodgepodge wasted. Julliene Moore and Samuel L. were great (as always). Ron Eldard is one of my favorites. He was never the romantic lead, but it provides great dramatic coup. Unfortunately, his character has nothing to do with history. Usually, the scene where Billy overhears the confession does not make sense, nothing comes of it, and disappears after his character. I'm not sure this is still a good attempt. Save your money. |
| I think that Joe Roth was destined for something deeper with 'Freedomland'. It is not necessarily a bad film, but not really good either. Are acting in a point, it is very solid, with performances by Samuel L. Jackson (Jackie Brown) as a police detective and determines Julianne Moore (The Forgotten) and Whacked-time mother of the dead son who has been kidnapped. Edie Falco is also quite well with a role that is anything but Mrs. Soprano. The writing and dialogue, however, is absolutely terrible. I believe that 'Freedomland' is actually not half bad movie, if the writer as much in the nature of the talks as it did the creativity of the racial epithets thrown throughout the movie. 'Freedomland' bothers me in that film: Freedomland trailers made to be something that is not - a tense, mystery / thriller, when in reality it is a Freedomland Drama film about racial tensions and economic problems. "Freedomland" is pretentious in that it thinks it's an Oscar-caliber film, when in reality is a little above the average thriller full of tired cliches. "Freedomland" is nice if you can see through it the feeling of disbelief prejudices shine. Grade: C. (Screened at AMC Deer Valley 30, Phoenix, Arizona, 2/20/05) |
| Where do I start? The beginning .. item is appropriate performance and Samuel Julianne are more than adequate. The story is so ... great! I did not know what to expect from the film. Really! I'm always informed of the Freedomland movie that I see. I know almost the end before I saw. Of course, it spoils everything. But with this one .. This was different. I was surprised, very positive. The Freedomland Drama movie gives me a friend .. and I thought: 'It is late, I want to see a film: Freedomland that does not bother me .. and this is something mysterious. I do not know what to expect. Thus allowing him a shot. "I just saw a couple of minutes. The questioning was the scene of air intake! The end was, in addition to topic.
