| Jackie Brown (1997) *** 1 / 2, Pam Grier, Samuel L. Jackson, Robert Forster, Robert De Niro, Bridget Fonda, Michael Keaton, Chris Tucker, Tiny Lister. A marriage made in heaven: Elmore Leonard and Quentin Tarantino. Excellent adaptation of Leonard's "Rum Punch" with Grier eponumous cast as the character, an airline stewardess caught between a rock and a hard place when it is pressed for drug possession after a cash payment for arms dealer Jackson. Double-crosses aplenty - both the rich characterizations and sound equally good script and especially the 70 survivors Grier and Forster (Best Actor nominee) the latter underestimated the epitome of the action. Very fun and enjoyable pace torque without climax. De Niro get to the furnace of the weed is a vault with Fonda in the movie. |
| I was very pleasantly surprised by this Tarantino crime drama. Thinking back to the days of their original release, I do not remember much enthusiasm for this film. However, after seeing for the first time last night, thought it was fantastic! Which contained many of the tricks that I love retro Tarantino - el'70 's sound, and the unexpected cuts fades, tricks with time online. The characters were portrayed fantastically for the most part - Samuel L. Jackson is a genius in this DivX film Jackie Brown is like DeNiro in his very underestimated. In fact, this character is DeNiro unlike most others I can think in that sense, is a sort of relief. Robert Forster and capture the essence of bail Max slave perfectly. This Jackie Brown film lacks some of the wild and over the pace of violence in other Tarantino films. I think a little relief, too. The plot twists are interesting and it is essential - this is a very entertaining movie. Honestly recommended. |
| Besides Tarantino dialogue, everything else is below par. The film: Jackie Brown attempts to plot twists were predictable. It is still a good film, but not at the same level as Pulp Fiction. I loved this movie, but I stopped halfway through to go way to get Chinese food. I do not know how, but I finally said that I like watching a DivX film Jackie Brown session. |
| Jackie Brown is the first Quentin Tarantino DVD film Jackie Brown I've seen, and I loved it. In my opinion, Tarantino is one of the best directors around the crime today, along with Martin Scorsese and Brian De Palma. Jackie Brown is an excellent movie: Jackie Brown of all kinds, with an all-star cast, including Samuel L. Jackson, Robert De Niro, Bridget Fonda etc. However, theactors who really stole the show Greir Pam and Robert Forster.With this is their second collaboration together, Greir and Forsterare the perfect duo in the Jackie Brown Drama of the network of deception and betrayal. The script and direction of Quentin Tarantino are impressive, with lots of crisp dialogue in Tarantino fashion. I am disappointed that this classic Tarantino is not among the Top 250 IMDb as all other works, because this Jackie Brown film certainly deserves it. In general, a must-see for fans of Quentin Tarantino's DivX film Jackie Brown and lovers of a good Jackie Brown Drama film of the original crime. |
| A good film, but only half of Tarantino. I liked the performance, of course, and the plot was not bad. But it is not close to where films like Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction not even touch. However, it is fun to watch, and is a great rental if you've never seen. 8 / 10. |
| Jackie Brown works well with a great cast and Tarantino mastering the art of cinema. Pam Grier as Jackie almost steals the show, but Jackson and DeNiro is a strong support. The plot is a little complex, the double crossing, when Jackie is caught by the police to leave their dangers in order to obtain freedom. Flows along marked by extreme closeups, long tracking shots (which would do credit to Orson Welles), often driven by pop music. All of which Tarantino manages very well. In the end, management is a lot of credit for the success of this thriller in the wake of Pulp Fiction. The violence is understated by comparison, but even more surprising because of that. Well done. |
| When we insert our Quentin Tarantino Jackie Brown movie on the computer, expect to be bombarded with action, and perhaps sex. If this is what you're looking for, you can walk away disappointed. While this DVD film Jackie Brown does not give a shot or beaten on every corner, every pair of breasts or scenes, it does give us a look inside intricate half-dozen interesting characters. Do not get me wrong, it packs a mean punch compared to the average movie, only perhaps more mature and loquacious compared with the average QT thriller. Quentin commend myself to roll out their action full of pictures and just telling an interesting story with some sporadic firing gun here and there. Unless you can not sit without action in almost every scene, I recommend this Jackie Brown Drama movie to be seen. |
